Spotted Jack
DOB 5/07/09 MDR #Pending Sire: HHAA

Grove Farm Peppercorn Jack, 29½" Brown
Grand Dam: Windcrest Little Sierra, 32½"
Very Dark Brown/White Spot
Dam: Windcrest Makenna, 34¼" Black & White Spotted
Grand Sire: Spotted Acres Maxx, 32½" Black, NLP
Grand Dam: Heiken's Ark Sunflower, 32¼ Gray & White Spotted
Here
is a nicely marked spotted jack, sired by Mojave. He is a tri- color spot,
with a tyger spotted pattern. He has full mascara around his eyes, no pink.
He has similar markings to his mother, Makenna, and we named him after the
old movie, Makenna's Gold. His dam is known around her as Rayban, because
her black patches by both eyes make her look like she is wearing sunglasses.
Makenna, the foal, has nice straight legs, and a perfect bite, looks like
a good future herd sire candidate. After some thought, we have decided to
offer Makenna's Gold for sale.

We are offering
this dark red jack as a breeding candidate and probable future driving donkey
to someone interested in a classic mini donkey with heavy bone. Colonel
has a great attitude for training. We have led him on concrete, asphalt
and gravel, in tight spots between a fence and a trailer, next to shiny
trucks, near other mature jacks, and he has shown a willingness to do all
we have asked him. He has been raised since birth in a herd situation, currently
shares a pasture with other mature jacks, and shows a gentle
temperament in a herd situation. He has been pastured with weanling
jacks and geldings in the past as well. He is full brother to two
geldings that have shown a real aptitude for driving, The Elms
Brigadier General and The Elms Major General (aka Toby). Temperament
is a heritable trait, and this willing attitude comes from his sire,
Fiftyfire. The stocky build comes from his dam who goes back to Red
Baron. It is hard to find good stocky donkeys with heavy bone like
this anymore. Someone wanting a donkey with the power to pull a cart,
who could sire stocky foals, in a very nice dark red color, should
find Colonel of interest.

Yes, he is good, very very good. Our great donkey friend, Linda Trimnell, named him tonight, and said he is tops. Linda really knows her donkeys, and told us his sire, Geronimo, would be a great jack for our program. Tiny, stocky, very straight, in a rich black color, and with those parentheses ears, Black Eagle has it all. Black Eagle is for sale, available at weaning.

Sienna is a gentle jennet we have had for several years. She is very correct, and feminine, in a rich dark brown color. Lots of air between those legs, nice wide chest. She has had 6 foals, 4 were jennets, in black, dark brown, and one a lovely dark spot (The Elms Moonlight Serenade). We think she would do well in a spot program, or just be your sweet donkey friend. Sienna sells open to breed to your jack.
